Open Badges are a new way to recognize, verify and communicate learning and skills. Earned from, and interoperable across, any learning experience, including informal or on-the-job learning, Open Badges allows each user to build a comprehensive portfolio of what they know, have done and can do, and share it directly with stakeholders like potential employers or admissions officers. I founded Open Badges in 2010 and built the technical and social infrastructure for this global movement.
